Kelly O'Neal has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Senior Consultant at M+R Strategic Services, focusing on advocacy and fundraising. Kelly then joined the League of Conservation Voters as a Manager of Digital Marketing, Fundraising, and Advocacy in 2004. In 2005, Kelly started their own business as an Independent Consultant, specializing in communications, marketing, and mobilization. During their time as an Independent Consultant, they developed and implemented strategies for nonprofits and for-profit organizations, managed events, and supported media outreach. In 2009, they joined Christensen Global Strategies as a Green Consultant, providing strategic guidance for environmental events and overseeing logistical operations. Since 2015, Kelly has been with the American Diabetes Association, where they started as the Director of Volunteer Engagement before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Partnerships and Communications, responsible for developing partnerships and communication strategies.
Kelly O'Neal holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science/Environmental Studies from Utah State University.
