Arthur Gailes

Arthur Gailes is a highly skilled data professional with extensive experience in housing and economic analysis. Currently serving as the Manager of Housing Supply Initiatives at the American Enterprise Institute since April 2021, Arthur has developed a comprehensive PostgreSQL database containing property and sale data for over 150 million homes in the U.S. Previous roles include Senior Data Analyst at AEI, where Arthur created the Walkable-Oriented Development Map and contributed to the "Arbitrage Index," and Economist/Data Scientist at the Othering & Belonging Institute, developing the opportunity index and interactive maps for housing development. Arthur's background also includes work as an International Economist with the U.S. International Trade Commission, focusing on import tariffs, and as an Assistant Manager at Associa. Arthur holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from George Mason University.
