Todd Brinton, MD, serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and Corporate Vice President at Edwards Lifesciences since January 2019. With extensive experience in academia, Todd holds multiple positions at Stanford University, including Clinical Professor of Medicine in Cardiology and Adjunct Professor of Bioengineering, among others. Todd has been involved with the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign in various senior roles since 2006. Additionally, Todd is an active member of the American Heart Association's Board of Directors for the Western Region and has held leadership roles in other organizations, including co-founding Shockwave Medical, Inc. and serving as a director at Infogard Laboratories. Todd earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego.
