Scott Glisson

Scott Glisson is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS), a position held since November 2000 following roles as Director and Interim Co-Executive Director. With extensive experience in managing scientific research reviews for federal agencies and organizations, Scott has overseen the evaluation of proposals in biomedical and environmental research. Prior to becoming CEO, Scott served as Deputy Director and Program Manager at AIBS, where responsibilities included coordinating project planning, supervising technical staff, and developing policies for the organization. Scott holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science/Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both from Longwood University.
