Lisa Nelson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) since July 2014, leading a prominent nonpartisan organization focused on promoting limited government, free markets, and federalism. With a robust background in government relations, Lisa held significant roles at Visa as Head of Global Government Relations, and at Time Warner Inc. as Senior Vice President of Government Relations. Prior experience includes positions at AOL and the U.S. House of Representatives, where Lisa was Public Liaison in the Office of the Speaker. Lisa began a career in political engagement as Executive Director of GOPAC, Inc. and has an academic foundation with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, Berkeley.
