Amber Taxiera is an accomplished professional in philanthropy and environmental advocacy, currently serving as Associate Director of Philanthropy at American Rivers since January 2019. In this role, Amber oversees philanthropic efforts for California and the Colorado Basin while managing major gifts and communications. Prior experience includes various roles at The Sierra Fund from 2013 to 2019, where responsibilities encompassed operations, finance, outreach, and event management. Earlier work includes positions at Environmental Traveling Companions and INSiGHT Adventures, and an internship with the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and City Planning from Sonoma State University and has also studied at Massey University.
