Associate Director, California River Conservation at American Rivers

Kristan C. has extensive experience in environmental science and water resource management. Currently serving as the Associate Director for California River Conservation at American Rivers since April 2021, Kristan has previously held roles as an Environmental Scientist at West Yost Associates and Wildermuth Environmental, Inc. Additionally, Kristan was a Project Manager at the Pacific Institute, managing graduate researchers to assess urban rainwater catchments. Early career experiences include internships with BAIF Development Research Foundation and the National Park Service, as well as a position as a Land Steward with Rivers & Lands Conservancy. Academic credentials include a Master of Environmental Science & Management from the Bren School, University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California.
