Andre Taylor

Andre Taylor is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in optical design, project management, and research within the aerospace and optics sectors. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at AMERICAN SYSTEMS since September 2022, responsibilities include addressing technical and budgetary inquiries from Congress. Prior to this role, Taylor held the position of Senior Technical Project Program Manager at L3Harris Technologies, where leadership involved managing cross-functional teams and overseeing significant optics manufacturing projects. As the Principal Owner of A.G. TAYLOR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT, consulting for optics firms was a key focus, complemented by a history of research and development roles at NASA, Corning Incorporated, and the National NSF/NASA Research Center. Taylor's academic background includes a Master's degree in Optical/Physics Engineering and ongoing pursuit of a PhD in Optics & Material Science.
