Bob Musil

Bob Musil serves as the President and CEO of the Rachel Carson Council since March 2014, an organization dedicated to environmental and health integrity. Bob also holds the position of Chairman of the Board at both Population Connection Action Fund and the Council for a Livable World, roles pursued since 2007 and 2006, respectively. At American University, Bob Musil is a Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor in the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies, focusing on energy and climate policy. Prior to these positions, Bob Musil was the Executive Director and CEO of Physicians for Social Responsibility from 1992 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health and Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University, and advanced degrees (MA and PhD) in Modern Literature from Northwestern University, along with a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
