David Higgins

David Higgins is an experienced orthopedic surgeon currently practicing at MSMC since August 1996. In addition to this role, David has served as a team physician for American University since July 1994 and held the position of associate professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences since June 1991, contributing to the Sports Medicine Fellowship program. David was also a team physician for Our Lady of Good Counsel School from 1991 to 2013. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree obtained from Georgetown University between 1980 and 1984 and a BS in Biochemistry from The Catholic University of America, completed from 1976 to 1980, along with attendance at Loyola University New Orleans in 1975-1976.
