Tyler Cobian

Tyler Cobian is a skilled environmental professional with a strong background in sustainability and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Amgen since August 2023, Tyler previously held the position of Sustainability Manager and Consultant at MATE the Label from June 2020 to July 2023. An Associate Researcher at Environmental Market Solutions Lab, Tyler contributed to significant research commissioned by California Governor Gavin Newsom aimed at decarbonizing the state's transportation fossil fuel sector. Other notable experiences include serving as an Environmental Research Associate at Patagonia, focusing on regenerative agriculture, and various roles promoting sustainability in educational and community settings, including at the University of California, Merced and the City of Ventura. Tyler holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science & Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor's degree in Management and Economics from UC Merced.
