Alex Cirillo, Jr. has had a distinguished scientific and business career. After earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry and working as a post-doctoral student in France, Alex joined 3M's Central Research Laboratories and rose through the ranks to become a 3M Research and Development Vice president. Subsequently he held posts as President and General Manager of 3M Canada, then a 3M Division Vice President, Vice President of 3M Community Affairs, and Vice President of the 3M Foundation.
Alex's other affiliations include the MENTTIUM 100 Program; the Itasca Project working group; Chair of Biobusiness Alliance of Minnesota; and founding member of the board of MinnCAN. Alex was appointed by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees.

Amherst H. Wilder Foundation
The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation is a nonprofit health and human services organization that has served the greater Saint Paul, Minnesota area since 1906. The mission of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation is to promote the social welfare of persons resident or located in the greater Saint Paul metropolitan area by all appropriate means including: relief of the poor; care of the sick and aged; care and nurture of children; aid of the disadvantaged and otherwise needy; promotion of physical and mental health; support of rehabilitation and corrections; and provision of needed housing and social services all without regard to, or discrimination on account of, nationality, sex, color, religious scruples or prejudices.
