Tom McKnight

Tom McKnight is a seasoned professional in hardware platform engineering, currently serving as Senior Director of Hardware Platform Engineering at Ampere since April 2023, where leadership involves developing cloud-native processors for sustainable cloud solutions. Prior to joining Ampere, Tom held the position of VP of Primary Storage Hardware Platform and Supply Chain at HPE from June 2017 to September 2022. Tom’s extensive career also includes significant roles at Nimble Storage, Scaleable Storage, Agami Systems, and IP Unity, focusing on hardware systems development, architecture, and engineering. Tom earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from California State University, Chico.
