João Pinheiro

João Pinheiro has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. João started their career as a Collaborator at HackerSchool in 2016, where they co-developed GUI apps in C++/Qt and worked on an LED Matrix using Python and Arduino. João also organized various events and workshops related to coding. Following this, they joined FST Lisboa as a Fulltime Intern in 2017, where they worked on programming PIC μCs and developing a GUI using C++/Qt. João later ported the GUI to Windows.

In 2019, João worked as a Summer Intern at Caixa Mágica Software. Afterward, they joined Celfocus as a Software Engineer. At Celfocus, they worked on their enterprise voice solution, One Net, which had multiple international deployments. João was responsible for developing using Java (JBoss, Spring), JavaScript (React), C++, and PostgreSQL. João also worked on the infrastructure side, using tools and technologies such as Docker, Bash, Gitlab CI (K8s on GCloud), Helm, and Terraform. João worked on the Call Handling Server (CHS), which supported both SS7 and SIP, and had strict SLAs. João also contributed to the web Portal used for provisioning, utilizing React and Java.

Currently, João is working as a Software Engineer at Amplemarket from March 2023 onwards.

From 2015 to 2019, João Pinheiro studied at the Instituto Superior Técnico, where they pursued a Msc in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
