Basile Marquier

Basile Marquier is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in statistical analysis and consulting. Currently employed at AMRC since January 2025, Basile previously served as an Analytics Consultant at Minitab and as Lead Data Scientist at HSBC, where expertise in detecting online banking fraud was demonstrated through advanced algorithm development using R and Python. An academic background includes a PhD in Statistics and roles such as a Statistics Consultant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Sheffield, along with lecturing on Bayesian statistics for master's students. Basile has also held advisory and tutoring positions at various educational institutions, fostering mathematical and statistical expertise among students.
