James Sember has a diverse work experience in various companies. James most recently served as the Managing Director of Grid Engineering at American Superconductor since June 2020. Prior to that, from July 2013 to June 2020, they were the Executive Director of WEMPEC at the University of Wisconsin Madison, where they oversaw program administration for a research consortium. Additionally, they provided consulting services in engineering and business development through the Jotham Group. Before their time at the university, they worked at S&C Electric Company from July 2003 to July 2013 as the VP of Power Quality, responsible for all business operations and successfully achieving profitability. James also held the position of Director of Engineering at Kohler Co. from July 1997 to July 2003.
James Sember attended Cornell University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. James later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
