Chad Ellerbrock has a strong background in scrap metal procurement and trading. Chad started their career at The David J. Joseph Company as a Brokerage Representative, where they traded approximately $5M monthly in scrap metal and worked closely with domestic and international traders to optimize ferrous profits. Chad also developed and maintained third-party relationships to negotiate monthly scrap contracts.

After their role at The David J. Joseph Company, Chad joined ProTrade Steel Company as a Trader Representative. In this position, they analyzed purchasing requirements, negotiated orders, and coordinated lower costs for more efficient moves. Chad stayed updated with market conditions and competitive trends in the ferrous and global commodity market through trading and marketing of ferrous material.

Currently, Chad is working at Amsted Rail as the Director of Scrap Procurement. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Scrap Procurement Manager and Scrap Procurement Manager at the same company. In these roles, Chad was responsible for obtaining sources of supply and pricing for scrap metal purchases, maintaining raw material and supply inventory levels, and identifying sales outlets for waste scrap metal. Chad followed industry guidelines and used APICS principles to ensure efficient procurement and supply management.
