Jannis Leidel is a highly experienced software engineer and director with a long-standing commitment to the Python and web development communities. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Anaconda, Inc. since May 2021, previous roles include Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Jannis has been a member of the Python Software Foundation since 2012, holding positions as Director, Fellow, and member of various committees focused on community and packaging. Notable prior experience includes working as a Staff Software Engineer at Mozilla Corporation, founding enn.io UG, and contributing as a Core Developer for the Django Software Foundation. Jannis's educational background includes a BFA in Media Design from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and studies at Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung Linz.
