Michael Cherney is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in the restaurant and real estate sectors. Currently serving as Co-Founder of Anagram Capital since January 2023, Cherney is focused on innovative approaches to wealth creation and preservation. As Managing Partner at Grand Mere Capital since December 2016, a private investment firm specializing in restaurant and consumer businesses, Cherney actively manages investments. Additionally, Cherney co-founded and chairs the Grand Mere Restaurant Group, operating approximately 140 Pizza Hut locations across nine states since October 2017. Previous roles include Investment Professional at Thayer Street Partners, Investment Analyst at The D. E. Shaw Group, and Associate Vice President at Rockwood Real Estate Advisors. Cherney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Quantitative Economics and Spanish from Tufts University, earned in 2005.
