Mercedes Johnson is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, corporate development, corporate governance, management, and operations. Ms. Johnson previously served as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Intersil Corporation in 2013. From 2010 to 2011, she was Vice President and CFO at Tri Alpha Energy. Prior to this, she served as a Founding Executive, Senior Vice President of Finance, and CFO at Avago Technologies (now Broadcom), where she helped manage all administrative activities of the company. Ms. Johnson also served as Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO at Lam Research from 1997 to 2005, where she was responsible for financial functions and miscellaneous administrative tasks. During her tenure, she was instrumental in the company’s large business transformation. Earlier, Ms. Johnson spent 11 years at Applied Materials, where she held various senior financial management positions. In her most recent role as Vice President and Controller for Worldwide Operations, she managed a global workforce and was responsible for all operational controllership functions. Ms. Johnson received her degree in Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1977. She currently serves on the public boards of Millicom International Cellular, where she is also Chair of the audit committee, Synopsys, and Teradyne, and previously served on the public boards of Maxim Integrated, Juniper Networks, Micron Technology, Intersil Corporation, and StorageTek.
