Marika Apelo

Marika Apelo is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and public relations. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at Ancestry since July 2022, Marika manages cross-functional communication programs, focusing on effective internal and external messaging. Previously, Marika held various senior roles at Outcast from September 2014 to July 2022, including Senior Director and Account Director, working with high-profile clients such as Amazon Devices and Facebook Marketplace. Early career experiences at Weber Shandwick and Ketchum Public Relations provided a foundation in client management and communication strategy. Marika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on Journalism and Public Relations from California State University, Chico, and has further education from San Diego State University.
