Scott Arveseth

Scott Arveseth is an experienced professional in the field of cloud security and cybersecurity education. Currently serving as Manager of Cloud Security at Ancestry since August 2016, Scott has held multiple roles including Staff Security Engineer and Sr. Cloud Security Engineer, with a focus on AWS security, PCI-DSS, and NIST standards. Previously, Scott worked as a Course Instructor for a Cyber Security Bootcamp at edX and held senior positions at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where responsibilities included cloud security architecture and compliance engineering. Early career experience includes roles as Sr. Product Manager at FamilySearch and Symantec, as well as engineering positions at Axent Technologies and Corel Corporation. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah.
