Ted Boren

Ted Boren is a seasoned UX research professional with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Principal UX Researcher at Ancestry since July 2019, Ted previously held roles as Senior UX Researcher at Instructure, where responsibilities included user experience research for flagship products and training designers. Earlier experience includes positions as a Product Manager at Kuali, Inc., Lead UX Researcher at Workfront, and User Research Lead at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where Ted established a dedicated user research function. Ted's background also includes work as a Usability Engineer at Microsoft and technical writing at SirsiDynix. Ted holds a Master's degree in Technical Communication from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in English from Brigham Young University.
