Ian Sharp

Ian Sharp serves as a Partner in Technical Talent at Andreessen Horowitz since July 2020, where responsibilities include leading the Technical Talent team and fostering relationships with top software engineering, product, and design talent. Previously, Ian held the position of Staffing Leader at Google, overseeing staffing for Google Health, and served as Head of Staffing at both DeepMind and X, the moonshot factory, managing staffing operations for innovative projects. Ian's earlier career includes roles as a Staffing Manager at Google, focusing on engineering hiring, and as Recruitment Director at Ridgian Group, where significant business growth was achieved. Ian began in the industry as a Business Development Manager at Aerotek Europe, contributing to the firm’s expansion into the European market. Ian holds a BSc in Information Systems from the University of Leeds.
