Matthew Kaplan has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Matthew started their career in the U.S. Army, serving as a Platoon Leader in the 101st Airborne Division from 2005 to 2010. Following their military service, they worked in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), where they held various leadership positions, including Operations Officer and Company Commander. In 2015, they interned at The Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs, gaining exposure to investment banking. Matthew then joined William Blair as an Investment Banking Summer Associate in 2016 and later became an Investment Banking Associate in the Technology Group from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they transitioned to KAYAK, where they initially worked as a Manager in Commercial Partnerships before being promoted to Senior Manager of Commercial Operations & Partnerships. Most recently, they joined Anduril Industries, initially as the Director of Revenue Operations in 2020 and then advanced to the role of Head of Revenue in 2022. Currently, they serve as the VP of Revenue and Corporate Planning.
Matthew Kaplan's education history is as follows: Matthew obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from The Citadel in the years 2001 to 2005. Subsequently, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Matthew also completed various military courses, including the US Army Flight School, US Army Aviation Captain's Career Course, US Military Joint Firepower Course, US Army Pathfinder School, and US Army Air Assault School. In addition to their academic achievements, Matthew Kaplan holds several certifications, such as AH-64D Pilot in Command, CH-47D Pilot, Commercial Pilot - Instrument Helicopter, Level 1 Trainer, MH-47G Pilot in Command, Part 107 sUAS Remote Pilot, Series 63, and Series 7.
