Shakuntala Sharma

Shakuntala Sharma is an experienced professional with a strong background in forestry and environmental science. Currently serving as Analyst II in Forest Carbon Modeling at Anew since November 2022, Shakuntala previously worked as a Technical Analyst at Forest Resource Consultants, Inc. from August 2018 to November 2022, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at both the University of Georgia and the University of Arkansas at Monticello from 2016 to 2018 and 2012 to 2014, respectively. Prior experience includes a role as Training Officer at the Federation of Community Forestry Users' Nepal, where responsibilities included capacity building on climate change issues and coordinating reports with the Regional Community Forestry Training Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Shakuntala holds a Master of Science in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University.
