Mike Kalata

Mike Kalata has extensive work experience in tax management and leadership roles. Mike is currently serving as the Global Tax Director at ANGUS Chemical Company since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Tax Manager at LKQ Corporation from July 2019 to February 2021 and at FTD Companies from June 2017 to June 2019. Mike also served as the Tax Manager at Ryerson from March 2008 to June 2017 and as a Tax Professional at Jefferson Wells from May 2004 to March 2008. Before that, they worked as a Tax Manager at Grant Thornton from November 2000 to March 2004, at Wallace Computer Services from February 1999 to November 2000, at PricewaterhouseCoopers from May 1997 to February 1999, and at Arthur Anderson LLP from August 1987 to May 1997. Mike started their career as a Tax Supervisor at Karrison, Byrne, Jansey & Trimarco, Ltd. from December 1989 to June 1990.

Mike Kalata has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus in Accounting from the University of St. Francis, which they obtained between 1983 and 1987. Mike later pursued a Master's degree in Taxation (MST) from DePaul University between 1992 and 1995. In addition, Mike Kalata has obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Illinois in November 1989.
