Jon-Pierre Sanchez has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies.

Jon-Pierre started their career at Trax USA Corp as a Software Programmer, where they debugged and customized aircraft maintenance software using PowerBuilder. Jon-Pierre also worked with XML and XSLT to create PDF reports.

Jon-Pierre then joined Tracfone Wireless as a Jr. Clarify Administrator, where they monitored Unix jobs and worked with Oracle 11g database to fix data issues. Jon-Pierre also created and tested PL/SQL packages and procedures.

After that, Jon-Pierre worked as a Web Developer at Juniper, where they developed custom travel reservation websites using VB.Net and Javascript. Jon-Pierre utilized jQuery and AJAX to create dynamic websites and worked with XML and XSLT to deliver content.

Jon-Pierre then moved on to Booker Software as a Senior Front End Developer, leading initiatives to use modern JavaScript frameworks and tools such as jQuery, Ember.js, QUnit, GruntJS, and RequireJS. Jon-Pierre developed rich web applications used by service-based businesses and their customers for day-to-day operations and booking services.

Jon-Pierre's next role was at Animoto, where they held multiple positions. As a Front-End Engineer, they worked in a cross-functional team to develop a web-based video marketing creation tool. Jon-Pierre also integrated third-party asset APIs and explored migrating the codebase from BackboneJS to React.

Later, they became a Senior Front End Software Engineer at Animoto, where they mentored engineers and interns, helping them with React/Redux concepts. Jon-Pierre also worked on migrating legacy BackboneJS apps to React and established a company-wide React component library.

Their most recent role at Animoto is Staff Engineer, Full stack, where they created a distributed system to archive inactive users for AWS cost savings. Jon-Pierre also helped with the migration of the Kubernetes KOPS cluster to AWS EKS, focusing on setting up a secure internal service mesh layer using AWS App Mesh.

Jon-Pierre Sanchez pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from 2003 to 2008 at Florida International University.
