Karen Cook

Karen Cook, Esq. serves as the Dean of the School of Business and Law at Anne Arundel Community College since 2015, overseeing a diverse range of academic units and managing approximately 114 faculty and staff. Prior to this role, Karen Cook was the Chief Administrative Officer for Anne Arundel County Government, overseeing daily operations for a workforce of 5,500 and a substantial budget. Karen Cook's extensive experience in legal education includes positions as Director of the Legal Studies Institute and Federal Compliance Officer at Anne Arundel Community College, as well as tenure as a full professor and Legal Studies program coordinator. Additional roles in public service include legislative aide with the Anne Arundel County Council and assistant county attorney. Karen Cook holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from California Western School of Law.
