Ayanna Baker

Ayanna (Smith) Baker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in child welfare and system innovation. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at the Annie E. Casey Foundation since August 2005, Ayanna facilitates inter-unit learning and manages the Center for Systems Innovation's director meetings to ensure effective coordination. Previously, as a Senior Associate in the Child Welfare Strategy Group, Ayanna collaborated with public agencies in Florida, West Virginia, and Rhode Island to create strategic plans focused on improving outcomes for children and families. Ayanna's earlier role as an Executive Assistant at the Child and Family Services Agency involved reviewing child fatality cases and overseeing the director's office operations. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University.
