Annie E. Casey Foundation
Cherae McWilliams is a dedicated policy associate at the Annie E. Casey Foundation, serving the Center for Systems Innovation since January 2019. With a focus on influencing public policies and improving child welfare and juvenile justice systems, Cherae supports initiatives through collaboration with the Family Well-Being and Juvenile Justice Strategy Groups. Previous experience includes coordinating the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative for the Philadelphia Juvenile Probation, working as an adjunct instructor at Rowan College, and interning as a life skills counselor at Valley Youth House. Cherae holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
