Melissa Kirwin

Melissa Kirwin is a seasoned privacy and compliance professional with extensive experience in data governance and security. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Global Privacy at Ansys since July 2020, Melissa previously held the position of Global Privacy Manager. At American Eagle Outfitters Inc., from October 2017 to July 2020, Melissa managed the data governance program and developed compliance strategies for the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Earlier roles at PPG Industries included Project Manager for a multi-million dollar IT environmental health and safety program and IT Security Analyst, where Melissa designed a global data privacy framework. Melissa holds a Master of Public and International Affairs in Security and Intelligence Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English/Creative Writing from Mercyhurst University.
