Stephan Geering

Stephan Geering serves as Deputy General Counsel & Compliance, Trustworthy AI and Global Privacy Officer at Anthology Inc since November 2021, with a focus on compliance and privacy. Previously, Geering held the position of Global Privacy Officer at Blackboard from May 2017 to January 2022 and served as Global Privacy Officer at Citi from January 2012 to May 2017, where responsibilities included leading the EMEA DPO team in compliance with data protection regulations across 55 locations. Prior to Citi, Geering worked as Associate Director of Privacy at Barclays from January 2010 to January 2012, overseeing privacy for the Group Centre Business Unit. Geering's early career included roles as Deputy Data Protection Commissioner and Lawyer at the Data Protection Authority Baselland, Switzerland, from October 2002 to June 2008. Educational qualifications include an LLM in Law from UCL (2008-2009) and a Masters in Law from the University of Basel (1995-2001).
