Amanda Barry serves as the Director of Future Students at The Australian National University since February 2017, where responsibilities include leading domestic and international student recruitment strategies. Previously, Amanda held roles such as Director of the China Liaison Office at AustCham Beijing, and Director of Academics, Faculty and Research at The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies. Experience also includes directorship of Engagement and Research at the Foundation for Australian Studies in China, and Associate Director at Creative Asia, among others. Amanda's early career featured positions at the Australian Embassy (DFAT) and the Australia China Alumni Association. Amanda holds a PhD in Australian History and a BA (Hons) in History and Political Science from the University of Melbourne.
