Helen Mitchell

Helen Mitchell is a multidisciplinary professional with extensive experience in economic security and statecraft. Currently a Sir Roland Wilson Scholar at The Australian National University, Helen has also taken on the role of Economic Security Non-Resident Fellow at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Helen's career spans several significant positions, including Asia-Pacific geoeconomics at the Commonwealth Treasury and various diplomatic roles at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, notably as a political-economic diplomat in Mexico and South Africa. With a background in economic consulting and policy advising, Helen has contributed to organizations such as the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and the Department of Primary Industries Victoria. Educational qualifications include an Executive Leadership program from Harvard Business School and dual degrees in Economics and Arts from the University of Melbourne.
