Philipp Moritz is the co-founder and CTO of Anyscale. Philipp was previously a PhD student at UC Berkeley for six years. Philipp's research focuses on distributed systems, programming languages, and compilers. Philipp has published papers on these topics in prestigious conferences such as SOSP and ASPLOS. In their free time, Philipp enjoys hiking and playing the violin.
Philipp Moritz attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics. Philipp also attended Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
