Sriram Sankar

Sriram Sankar is a highly experienced technical leader with a focus on software infrastructure, AI systems, and search technologies. Currently serving as a Technical Fellow at LinkedIn since January 2025, Sriram also holds advisory roles at Anyscale and Faire, and has been a member of the Advisory Board for The Data Institute at the University of San Francisco until December 2023. Previously, Sriram played a significant role at Uber as a Principal Engineer/Distinguished Engineer from January 2019 to January 2022, defining the tech strategy with a focus on search and recommendations. Sriram's extensive experience includes positions at Facebook as a Software Engineer and Manager, where contributions included building search engines and query infrastructure, and at Google, focusing on search quality and ads infrastructure. Sriram holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BTech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
