Tharishni Arumugam

Tharishni Arumugam is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in privacy and data protection. Currently serving as Global AI Compliance Director and Global Privacy Technology & Operations Director at Aon since September 2019, Tharishni specializes in AI Governance and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Previously, Tharishni held the role of Global Privacy Operations Lead, focusing on privacy regulations. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, with a background in privacy regulations, and completing a Pupil in Legal Chambers/Trainee Attorney period, essential for admission to the Malaysian Bar. Additionally, Tharishni coached a high school debate team to significant achievements as a Debate Coach at Convent Bukit Nanas. Tharishni holds an LLB(Hons) from the University of Malaya.
