Joseph GUILLIET is an experienced researcher in genetics, currently serving as Chargé de recherche - génétique at Cycle Farms since January 2019, focusing on genomic genetics and applications in the selection of Hermetia illucens, the black soldier fly. Joseph is also pursuing a PhD in genetics, genomics, and evolutionary history of Hermetia illucens. In addition to academic pursuits, Joseph is a volunteer firefighter with SDIS02 since December 2007, currently holding the rank of sous-officier. Previous experiences include a research internship at CNRS focused on insecticide resistance in Aedes aegypti, humanitarian aid work in a Colombian slum with CAMINOS DE ESPERANZA, and a research and development internship at Olygose. Joseph holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Université Paris-Saclay, an engineering degree from ENSAIA, and a Master's degree in Biotechnologies from Université de Lorraine.
