Matthew Snell has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Matthew started their career in 2007 at Ballance Agri-Nutrients Ltd, where they worked as a Process Engineer and later as a Lead Process Engineer. During their time there, they successfully delivered capital improvement projects, commissioned equipment, and implemented plant modifications to increase production capacity. In 2012, Matthew joined LogiCamms as a Senior Process Engineer, where they worked on various projects, including oil and gas processing facilities and renewable energy projects. Matthew also served as a Project Manager for compliance projects and successfully delivered surface pumping facilities. In 2017, Matthew joined Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific as a Plant Engineer, where they managed the production facilities and led engineering projects. Most recently, Matthew has been working at APA Group since 2020, initially as a Senior Process Engineer, then as a Senior Process & Functional Safety Engineer, and currently as a Lead Process & Functional Safety Engineer.
Matthew Snell received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a specialization in Chemical and Materials Engineering from The University of Auckland, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including FS Engineer from TÜV Rheinland Group in March 2023, RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) from The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland in April 2013, CEng (Chartered Engineer) from the Engineering Council in October 2011, and MIChemE (Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers) from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in September 2011.
