Hamish MacIntyre

Hamish Macintyre is an experienced geophysicist currently serving as the Director of Geophysics at Apache Corporation since May 2023. Previously, Macintyre held multiple roles at Shell, including Regional Exploration Advisor and Acting Regional Chief Geoscientist for North America and Brazil, where responsibilities encompassed technical assurance and business guidance. At BG Group, significant contributions included Deputy Chief Geophysicist and Subsurface Manager, overseeing exploration strategies and operational projects. Earlier experience includes senior positions at PTTEP, Total E&P, Hess Corporation, and internships at ExxonMobil and Shell. Macintyre holds a B.Sc. Joint Hons. degree in Physics with Geology from the University of Glasgow and has completed postgraduate education at Imperial College London.
