Eric Meertens has a strong background in IT infrastructure management. Eric started their career as an IT Specialist at ArcelorMittal in 1990 and held various infrastructure management roles within the company until 2010. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as the Head of IT Infrastructure at Aperam, before being promoted to Global Head of IT Infrastructure in 2018. Eric also briefly worked as the Infrastructure Manager & Security Officer at ArcelorMittal Stainless Europe in 2010.

Eric Meertens has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UHasselt, which they obtained from 1991 to 1993.
