Kent Dougherty has a diverse work experience in the clean energy and hospitality industries. Kent started their career at Apex Clean Energy in 2009 as the Director of Project Development and later became the Vice President of Development. In 2015, they joined Natural Retreats as the Vice President of Development, Resorts and Lodges US. However, they returned to Apex Clean Energy in 2017 and currently holds the position of Vice President of Development.

Kent Dougherty has a Master of Landscape Architecture degree, a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning degree, and a Bachelor's degree in Political & Social Thought, all from the University of Virginia.
