Paul Grunau

President, APi Group International Division at APi Group

In this role, Paul is responsible for overall APi Group leadership of the international businesses. Those are presently Chubb, SK FireSafety Group, Vipond, and Vipond U.K.

From 1995 to 2006 Paul was president and then owner of Grunau Company, a mechanical and fire protection contractor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shortly after APi Group purchased Grunau Company in 2006, Paul joined APi Group as its chief operating officer, a position he held until 2011. He then left APi Group to participate in the start-up of Health Payment Systems, a health care technology company and subsequently helped lead the company through its early-stage evolution. In 2016, Paul had the opportunity to return to APi Group and join the senior leadership team as chief learning officer in a concerted effort to help all employees across the organization develop their leadership skills and reach their full potential through APi’s purpose of Building Great Leaders®. In 2021, Paul committed to helping drive improved business results in the international business.

Paul graduated from Brown University in 1987 with a degree in economics, and from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University with an MBA in 1990. He served as chair of the board of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School from 2013 to 2015 and is a member of the board of directors of Tingue Brown and Company, Glenn Rieder Inc., Great Lakes Roofing, and Health Payment Systems.
