Carl Jacobs has been in the professional world since 2007, starting as a Curatorial Assistant at Brussels Biennial vzw. In 2009, they became the Lab Manager at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, followed by a role as a Scientific Researcher at Koninklijke Musea voor Schone Kunsten van België in 2010. In the same year, they also began working as a Management Consultant at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In 2012, they became Communications Manager at Extra City Kunsthal. In 2014, Carl Jacobs co-founded APIC and became Partner at Office Berger. In 2018, they became the Owner at Maison Berger. In 2017, they co-founded apicbase.com and served as the Chief Executive Officer. In 2020, they began working as a Startup Mentor, Public Speaker, and Motivational Speaker.

Carl Jacobs received their Master degree in Cultural Management from the University of Antwerp in 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Licenciaat/Master degree in Kunstwetenschappen & Archeologie from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2006, having started their studies there in 2002.
