Steven Stern has over 20 years of experience in the music industry. Steven started their career in 1993 as an Assistant Engineer and Composer for Media Ventures, where they worked on projects such as The Lion King and The Rock. In 1994, they became the Owner of Sternmusic / Catmandude Music, where they handled all creative aspects of film music projects and worked with clients such as MGM and CBS. In 2000, they co-founded Selectracks Music Library and developed a respected brand in the production music industry, overseeing custom projects and building international partnerships. Steven then joined Bug Music in 2008 as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Production Music, where they managed the catalog production and composed for various projects. Currently, Steven is the Vice President of Custom Music at Resonate Music Group / APM Music, where they oversee the creative process and is responsible for securing custom music opportunities.
Steven Stern attended the Peabody Conservatory/Preparatory from 1984 to 1986, where they studied Music Theory and Classical Guitar. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor of Music degree in Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music from 1987 to 1991.
