Matthew Cardinal

Matthew Cardinal is a seasoned clinical scientist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Currently serving as a Clinical Scientist at Apollo Therapeutics since February 2024, Matthew previously held the position of Senior Director of R&D Strategy at Viridian Therapeutics, where responsibilities included pipeline opportunity assessments and high-level commercial evaluations. Prior to that, Matthew was Vice President of Strategy and Program Leadership at Halloran Consulting Group, significantly increasing practice revenue during tenure. Additional experience includes roles at Pfizer and Novartis, focusing on early clinical development in rare diseases and leading multicenter vaccine trials, respectively. Matthew's career also includes engineering positions at Mitek Sports Medicine and DePuy Synthes, preceded by a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
