Joseph Perez

Joseph Perez has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of software engineering. Joseph started their professional career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute as a Community Advisor from March 2015 to January 2016. Then, they joined the Mariner Motel as a Front Desk Manager during the summer of 2014, where they focused on ensuring a pleasant stay for guests and coordinating with cleaning and maintenance staff. Joseph also had a brief role as a server at Bibi Cafe & Bakery from May to August 2014.

In 2011, Joseph joined Jumptrax LLC as a Party Attendant. Joseph provided customer service for private parties and open access events, ensuring smooth operations and efficiency. During this time, they worked both individually and as part of a team.

Joseph started their software engineering career as an intern at the WPI Department of Marketing and Communications from September 2013 to May 2014. Joseph then interned as an IT Intern at Applause from May 2015 to June 2016. Joseph went on to work as an Engineering Intern at Applause from May 2016 to June 2017 before transitioning to the role of Junior Software Engineer from June 2017 to June 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Software Engineer II at Applause and joined in June 2019.

Joseph Perez attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Science.
