Christopher Brown is a seasoned software engineer and robotics expert with a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at Apple since March 2018, Christopher has previously held key roles, including Firmware Lead at Zoox Inc., where leadership involved overseeing a team of eight software engineers and managing the software development lifecycle. Prior to that, a significant contribution was made at Tesla Motors as a Staff Firmware Engineer on the Autopilot program, helping achieve a high safety rating shortly after launch. Earlier experience includes a pivotal role as a Robotics Engineer at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, where Christopher designed one of the fastest miniature robots. Christopher earned a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology after completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Maryland College Park.
