Pietro Binetti

Pietro Binetti is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in optical engineering and hardware development. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Apple since September 2018, Pietro oversees a team focused on Camera and LiDAR module development for consumer electronics. Previously, Pietro held roles as Engineering Manager and Module Lead at Lumentum, specializing in optical sub-assembly modules for high-speed data communication applications. Pietro also has a background in photonic integrated circuits from a post-doctoral research position at UCSB and served as Chief International Officer at VLC Photonics. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, respectively.
